Accused in WB teacher recruitment case used women as shields: Officials

Shocking revelations are continuously happening in the interrogation of the accused arrested so far in the well-known teacher recruitment case of West Bengal and in the investigation of the case. Central agencies have claimed that all the accused have tried to use women as shields to escape from the security agencies.

Be it former Education Minister Partha Chatterjee or Trinamool MLA and former Chairman of Primary Education Council Manik Bhattacharya. Even Kuntal Ghosh and Santanu Banerjee, who were recently arrested in this case, used his female friends as shields.

Ayan Sheel also had close relations with many young women in almost the last stage of his age, to whom he has been giving money. Rs 50 crore in cash was recovered from the flat of former education minister Partha Chatterjee's female friend Arpita Mukherjee. At the same time, joint properties were recovered in the name of both. Arpita is currently in jail.

Similarly, other accused have also got properties in the name of female friends. Santanu had bought the property in the name of his wife, about which the wife was not aware. Ayan heel also transferred lakhs of rupees to his female friend. Kuntal Ghosh even transferred money to the accounts of Bengali film actresses and converted the amount recovered in corruption from black to white. A separate report on this is being prepared by the central agency which is to be presented in the court.
